Quanterix Simoa HD-X
Founded in 2007, Quanterix, based in Billerica, USA, is an emerging biomarker analysis company dedicated to advancing precision medicine. Its core technology, Simoa® (Single Molecular Array)-an ultra-sensitive digital assay solution-enables researchers to continuously and accurately detect biomarkers from health to disease, transforming the current healthcare paradigm.
With Simoa, ultra-high sensitivity detection of proteins in serum, plasma and other body fluids can be performed directly, promoting early detection of diseases, monitoring of conditions, and assisting in the precise use of medication to improve quality of life and extend lifespan. The technology is currently applied to tumor, nerve, infectious diseases, immune inflammation, reproduction, ophthalmology, cardiovascular and so on. There are 400+ installed users in the world, and 500+ publications citing the technology.
At the end of 2014, we launched the fully automated ultra-high sensitivity protein molecule detection instrument Simoa HD-1 AnalyzerTM, which will be fully upgraded to Simoa HD-X AnalyzerTM in 2019, and in October 2017, we launched the desktop ultra-high sensitivity protein molecule detection instrument SR-X. Currently, we have more than 80 related kits. Simoa is a completely open platform, which allows customers to realize the detection of ultra-high sensitivity protein markers and the research and development of kits through their own antibodies.
Simoa HD-X Analyzer Advantages
1、high sensitivity: more than 1000 times more sensitive than existing conventional immunoassays on average, can detect very low concentrations of analytes, while providing a powerful tool for the detection and validation of new biomarkers. Dilutions of micro samples can be detected, saving sample volume, while reducing matrix effects.
2、fully automated:immunoassay is currently a laborious and time-consuming task that requires a significant investment of time or the use of expensive automated systems, the Simoa HD-X analyzer is able to automate all of the enzyme immunoassay detection work, providing a highly efficient and convenient detection process, and reduce the error of manual operation.
3、Multi-detection:Up to 10 different target molecules can be detected in the same chip at the same time, and multiple indicators can be detected in one sample at the same time, which reduces the amount of samples and reagents used and saves costs.
4、high accuracy:digitalization and automation technology makes the coefficient of variation (CVs) of the experimental results less than 10%, the results are scientific and reliable
5、Wide linear range: for low concentration and high concentration samples using digital detection and analog detection of two data analysis methods, the detection of dynamic range > 4 orders of magnitude.
